France M'en Bon

This was my first dinner in Malta and I am so glad I chose this place. Fantastic food and service. Gigantic portions. An intimate atmosphere with a great vibe. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Phenomenal experience.

Delicious, wholesome, and wonderful food. Lovely people, really enjoyed our meal. It is not the waterfront/marina view kind of setting but when it comes down to quality you cannot fault this place. Highly recommended.

We have just enjoyed the best beef bourguignon and rabbit with mustard sauce in this lovely restaurant. The flavours were excellent . We hope to return again soon.

Very nice and lovely time at France M'en Bon !!! The food portions were hearty, extremely generous and absolutely delicious ! With my friend, we ate there almost every night during our trip in Malta, and devoured and left no crumbs no matter what the meal was ! We had the beef bourgignon ( absolute banger ), half roast chicken which was litteraly melting in our mouth along with very well-seasonned potatoes. The tuna steak is totally massive yet so soft and perfectly prepared by the chef, with no need for sauce to enjoy it as it is already a masterpiece on its own. The sea bream was equally pleasing with vegetables to enjoy with, and the provençal chicken is a must when going there, the chicken being served with a savoury tomato and pepper sauce that makes you feel warmer on the inside. Also the stuffed veal was so delicious i couldn't stop feeling amazed as it melted down in my throat so softly and naturally, and its sauce made it even more of an experience when having a taste along with some fresh bread and potatoes. If you thought that it was it, well, let me also mention the mazzola fish, that is to say a small kind of shark introduced with some cream and lemon sauce which bring you straight into another dimension. This was so surprising yet so invigorating that i almost washed my plate when leaving no single pieces of it by the end of the meal. Even tho not so found of alcohol, i must say the beef with cognac sauce is also something to try there as the meat is insanely well prepared ( by taking into account the cooking you'd like for it ) and the sauce adds more to the whole as it doesn't seem like being alcohol-flavoured. The chef also offered us to taste a tartare with his advices on how to enjoy it, and this was such a wholesome moment. Finally, the best out of the best, in my opinion, remains the brie burger, which i wished to try when first having a view of what it looked like. Its size and taste are unrivaled and that is probably the best burger i've ever had in my life. The dessert are very sweat and generous as well, such as the chocolate cake, apple pie and crème brûlée ! Other than that, the owners are very friendly, kind, warm, and made us felt welcomed and cherished ! That's a 10 out of 10 place, best out of the island, and i'd gladly come back !

Hidden gem! It's a wife/husband (she manages the front and he's the chef) team. She's very warm and welcoming. The food's delicious. I grew up visiting France many times and it's authentic, casual bistro food. The portions are extremely generous. Extra bonus, it's all very reasonably priced. We ate here twice during our stay because it was so good! Highly recommend.

Definitely one of the top 5 restaurant in Malta. The courtesy of the staff is amazing and the quality of the food is superb! You can definitely have a an exquisite taste of France in Malta or opt for an international plate, the thing they have in common, they both will taste great!

Amazing place. Good choice of french food and wine. You can ask for any specific and rare french recipe. but call in advance. Same for the booking.
